Hybrid Propulsion: Efficiency and Flexibility

To ensure the successful integration of the SkyBus into existing infrastructure, Lyte Aviation has joined forces with Volatus Infrastructure and Energy Solution. Together, they will explore the requirements for charging, refueling, and vertiport systems that will support the operation of supersized eVTOLs like the SkyBus.

The collaboration aims to create a comprehensive infrastructure network that allows eVTOL operators to have multiple safety divert options for landing. Path to Certification and Future Prospects

While the SkyBus represents a significant leap forward in eVTOL technology, it is important to note that certification is still a few years away. Lyte Aviation expects the necessary certifications to be obtained within five to six years, considering the rigorous testing and regulatory processes involved.

However, the company remains optimistic about the future of sustainable aviation fuel and green hydrogen, predicting a significant increase in supply within the next decade. This growth in alternative fuel sources will pave the way for a fully hydrogen-electric SkyBus, further reducing carbon emissions and advancing the sustainability of air travel.
